Description

For those who always ask me for a plastic free way to dispose of waste at home I now have loads of compostable bin bags which are awesome! They have the options of bin liners and home compostable bin liners in different sizes for everyone!

These compostable bin liners have the EN certification 'OK Compost HOME' which means they are compostable with food scraps in a home composting container. For a bag or products to obtain the compost certifications, no traditional plastics are allowed as these can never decompose. And therefore no phthalates, BPA and other bisphenols either as these are plasticizers used in traditional plastics.

FEATURES

  • Extra heavy duty: these bin liners match other top brands for holding heavy trash, but without any of the ecological waste! Strengthened & lightweight, our durable garbage bags are 25 microns thick and are completely compost friendly.
  • Natural sourcing: corn starch is actually a polymer but we only see it in powdered form. When you apply just the right amount of heat and water, the particles bond to themselves and you have all natural plastic! Our bin liners are certified compostable astm D6400 standard and contains no micro plastics.

SIZES

  • 40 litre compostable bin bags, third party certified as 100% industrial compostable.
  • The bags are also suitable for home composting, minus the tie part.
  • Our Compostable bin bags will start to decompose within 8 to 12 weeks
  • No harmful microplastics or plastic residue is left behind
  • Completely earth-friendly and environmentally friendly
  • Made from non-edible organic materials - nothing is wasted
  • Packaged in a recycled and recyclable box for shipment

EN 13432 Certified
EN 13432 requires the compostable plastics to disintegrate after 12 weeks and completely biodegrade after six months. That means that 90 percent or more of the plastic material will have been converted to CO2. The remaining share is converted into water and biomass – i.e. valuable compost. Materials and products complying with this standard can be certified and labeled accordingly.
