Sourcing paper tape was one of the first things I did before I even launched Plastic Freedom as I knew just how much plastic I could save by making such a simple change... This paper tape from Eco Boy is the perfect swap and they have some funky designs too!
It honestly blows my mind when I think about how many years I used plastic cellotape without even thinking twice about it! Sourcing paper tape was one of the first things I did before I even launched Plastic Freedom as I knew just how much plastic I could save by making such a simple change... I never imagined I'd have my own printed paper tape never mind a Christmas design AS WELL!
Just take a minute to think about all the companies who send things out online and use plastic tape; how much plastic pollution is being caused just in a single year from this alone! Plastic tape can not be recycled and this causes a huge issue when attached to boxes that can be recycled and to those bits that end up in the bin too!
Just think the difference that could be made if plastic tape was banned and all companies switched to paper tape! After all, paper tape does exactly the same job, it's super sturdy and it means it can be recycled along with the cardboard box your order arrives in!
GIFT WRAPPING
Last year I asked on my stories... 'What is your biggest dilemma coming up to the festive period and going plastic free?'. About 80% of the responses were about plastic tape and needing an alternative. I was shocked by this as I thought I had shouted far and wide about these almighty rolls of tape but as more and more people are starting to search for plastic free alternatives I realised I need to up my efforts!

I have been looking for an alternative since I discovered tin foil is not as good an alternative as I had thought! It works as well as cling film and I can compost it!! It’s a win win
Love it but not enough of it. Not very powerful so need more of it.

Great sponge for washing up. They don't disintegrate like the plastic foam ones and leaves bits of plastic on your washing up. I also cut mine in half after seeing a recommendation as they're quite big, meaning you get 4 sponges out of the 2 pack.

I bought two sizes , the one contains larger items - trousers, shirts, tops and the other smaller items, socks and underwear. On a long trip with a number of moves, these have beautifully organised my suitcase and the patterns are fun!

I’m a repeat purchaser of this conditioner. I really like it as it’s fairly lightweight yet leaves my fine curly hair detangled, shiny and hydrated but my son also loves it for his thick wavy hair so it seems to do a great job on most hair types. It also smells really good and it’s great to be using such a natural product rather than something full of ‘nasties'. The only thing that could improve it further is being able to refill the bottle!
The Kula bag is perfect for travel- secure, its various zips and pockets help to keep possessions organised, and several people have stopped me and commented on how much they love it!
