Since changing to a plastic-free razor I have been on the lookout for a good shaving foam that I can use for easy glide of the blades and silky smooth skin afterwards! This shaving soap is amazing and whether you're male or female, it works the same; lather it up, shave with your favourite razor and see the results!

DESCRIPTION

If you've switched to a plastic-free razor then I bet you will now be on the hunt for the perfect shaving foam to go with it. This is where this shaving Soap from Wild Sage + Co comes in, and ticks all the boxes.

Handmade with a base of Olive oil, Coconut oil and Shea butter to moisturise and leave the skin feeling naturally soft combined with French green clay for its clarifying properties helping to draw out toxins from the pores.

This shaving soap also boasts Lavender essential oils which are renowned for healing including calming and soothing irritated areas making it perfect for use whilst shaving. Cedarwood works similarly for dry, itchy or irritated patches, restoring our skins natural balance.

Use with a traditional bristled shaving brush to create an incredibly creamy lather and apply to face, legs, armpits and anywhere else you want to feel silky smooth! This plastic-free shaving soap is made with a base of Olive oil, Coconut oil and Shea butter which gives intense moisturisation and super easy gliding for your razor.

    HOW TO USE

    • The first thing you need to do is soak your shaving brush in warm water for 30 seconds. You can put it in a container of warm water (like a mug or) or fill your sink with warm water and soak the brush in that.
    • Soften the soap by putting a little warm water (say, a tablespoon’s worth) on the surface of the shaving soap and let it soak for 10 or 15 minutes.
    • Pour off the excess water.
    • Lots of people will put the warm water on the soap just before entering the shower. Squeeze the excess water out of your shaving brush. If you have too much water in the brush, it will make for thin, frothy, lather. Not enough water and it will be hard to develop lather at all. How wet the brush should be will vary by what brush you’re using.
    • Load the brush, you do this by gently swirling the brush around on the surface of the soap for a minute or two — until you notice a good creamy lather start to form. You alternate the swirl direction (between clockwise and counter-clockwise) every few moments to help work the lather into the brush’s bristles.
    • Paint your wet face/body with the lather using the shaving brush. You can use back-and-forth strokes, up-and-down strokes, swirly strokes, or a combination. As with any skin-care product, if irritation develops discontinue use and avoid contact with your eyes.

    Disappointing

I wanted to like this shaving soap but I was disappointed with it.
There was very little lather and what bit of lather I could get disappeared within seconds. Impossible to use it for shaving.
However the packaging is great and the soap is in a screw lid tin. No plastic at all so very pleased with that.

    Perfect replacement for shaving foam

Whilst trying to replace the plastic packaged, chemical filled products in our bathroom I came across this shaving soap.
Having tried and failed to make my own and not being satisfied using my standard body soap I was what to give this a try. I was also keen to get my fiancé away from the usual shaving foam.
Well that was over a year ago. Not only are we both completely converted, we’re still on the same tin!
Not sure what that says for either of our shaving habits!!
It smells amazing, lathers up into a rich creamy foam and works well on both legs, armpits and faces.
Can’t recommend it highly enough. We will buy again but I can’t imagine for some time to come!
Whilst some plastic free products are more expensive it’s products like these that make it more than worth paying more to start as they’re such good value.
