It honestly blows my mind when I think about how many years I used plastic cellotape without even thinking twice about it! Sourcing paper tape was one of the first things I did before I even launched Plastic Freedom as I knew just how much plastic I could save by making such a simple change...
Just take a minute to think about all the companies who send things out online and use plastic tape; how much plastic pollution is being caused just in a single year from this alone! Plastic tape can not be recycled and this causes a huge issue when attached to boxes that can be recycled and to those bits that end up in the bin too!
Just think the difference that could be made if plastic tape was banned and all companies switched to paper tape! After all, paper tape does exactly the same job, it's super sturdy and it means it can be recycled along with the cardboard box your order arrives in!
