Eco Living Dish Brush with Plant Bristles
Description
When I realised that most 'normal' kitchen sponges were made out of synthetic materials (yes plastic) and contained chemicals I was horrified and knew I needed to find something else, stat! I didn't want little bits microplastics in the water system whenever I did my washing or needed to clean my sponge.
This plastic free dish brush is made with natural fibre bristles and a plastic-free silicone and stainless steel handle making it endlessly reusable! The head of the brush is also replaceable and can be popped in your compost bin when it's reached the end of it's life!
The bristles become soft and make it ideal for washing plates, none stick pans, cutlery the lot! Got something that won't budge? Then grab your coconut dish brush to really move that grime!

TAMPICO BRISTLES
Tampico is a very robust fibre from the yellow leaf of the agave cactus, which grows only in the highlands of northern Mexico. Tampico has great water-retaining properties, is resistant and hard-wearing, and keeps its shape without softening!
WHY MAKE THE CHANGE?
Did you know that a lot of cleaning sponges and cloths contain plastic (I know right, wtf!) so whilst you're scrubbing away, little parts of your chosen cleaner are breaking off and going into the water system.
That means microplastics are potentially going to end up in the ocean, just from you doing some washing up! As soon as I discovered this I switched to a plastic free sponge right away but unfortunately, the one I bought came wrapped in plastic (ahhh!).
I'm so happy that I can now offer solutions from amazing brands that send things to me plastic free that are reusable, sustainable and made to last!
