Why I Love This

DESCRIPTION

For those who always ask me for a plastic free way to dispose of waste at home I now have loads of compostable bin bags which are awesome! They have the options of paper bin liners and home compostable bin liners in different sizes for everyone!

These compostable bin liners have the EN certification 'OK Compost HOME' which means they are compostable with food scraps in a home composting container. For a bag or products to obtain the compost certifications, no traditional plastics are allowed as these can never decompose. And therefore no phthalates, BPA and other bisphenols either as these are plasticizers used in traditional plastics.

EN 13432 requires the compostable plastics to disintegrate after 12 weeks and completely biodegrade after six months. That means that 90 percent or more of the plastic material will have been converted to CO2. The remaining share is converted into water and biomass – i.e. valuable compost. Materials and products complying with this standard can be certified and labeled accordingly.
                              ZERO WASTE CLUB PACKAGING
We try to avoid packaging items where possible, however for some products packaging is required due to health & safety reasons.
Packaging for items consists of 100% recycled non-bleached kraft paper, which is 100% recyclable at the end of life.

                                  About Zero Waste Club

"Feeling frustrated and let-down by the extent of the damage we have done to our environment, two friends - Rishi and Pawan - went in search of answers. While the markets are changing slowly, they noticed that many products that are eco-friendly are given a luxury label. They also found that many products sold under the “eco” label tend to stretch the definition of sustainability. Thus they decided to start their own journey to produce truly sustainable, beautifully designed, ethical and vegan essentials at affordable prices.

                                  And here we are!

We want to do more than just make beautiful eco-friendly products. So we are going to make the most transparent, ethical, sustainable goods company on earth. Opening up our supply chain fully for everyone to see. To show that there is a nicer way to do business. Hopefully this will inspire other businesses to do the same."
