You can put it in a container of warm water (like a mug or) or fill your sink with warm water and soak the brush in that.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSoften the soap by putting a little warm water (say, a tablespoon’s worth) on the surface of the shaving soap and let it soak for 10 or 15 minutes.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePour off the excess water.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLots of people will put the warm water on the soap just before entering the shower. Squeeze the excess water out of your shaving brush. If you have too much water in the brush, it will make for thin, frothy, lather. Not enough water and it will be hard to develop lather at all. How wet the brush should be will vary by what brush you’re using.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLoad the brush, you do this by gently swirling the brush around on the surface of the soap for a minute or two — until you notice a good creamy lather start to form.
