START A CONVERSATION
If you notice a bar, cafe or restaurant that you visit which still use plastic straws then make sure when you order your drink you say "please don't give me a plastic straw". I've learnt the hard way that if you don't ask at the point of ordering you will more than likely end up with one in your drink.
If people ask why you're asking for no straw when you order then start the conversation about how bad single-use plastic is. I've done this many times in the past and had such a good response!
It's ALWAYS worth messaging the manager when you get home to express how bad plastic straws are and how they can change one of the following:
- Don't automatically give out straws - keep them behind the bar and only give to those who ask
- Put a sign up about saving the ocean and #refusethestraw
- Suggest an alternative like paper straws

I really like this shampoo bar. It lathers up really well and rinses so that my hair is squeaky clean. My hair is shiny and feels soft.
I started using this product during the first lockdown. I’ve tried others since, as I’m a sucker for a new product, but always come back to this one. It’s leaves my hair soft and shiny without weighing it down. And I always buy from Beth, as the service she provides is always second to none!
Bought it as a present for a make up freak and she loved it
I started using the rice water bars, after hearing rave reviews, until they stopped shipping to the UK, however Beth was super quick in finding new plastic free products, containing rice water, to help my short, thin hair grow !!
Both shampoo and conditioner have given my hair more volume and after using it for a few weeks, I can already see and feel the difference more than the rice water bars.
Will definitely be buying again. Also the packaging is beautiful x
