Sea Change Wine will be your new go to; helping the planet whilst drinking wine... does it get any better?! Mediterranean Fin Whales are believed to ingest in excess of 3,700 plastic particles every day (source: Plastic Oceans UK). By purchasing this Riesling you are directly helping to fund beach cleans in the UK organised by one of our charity partners, reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. Thank you. Famous for its Riesling and producing some of the worlds most revered white wines, the Pfalz wine region is a charming landscape of rolling hills and vineyards. Located just south of Frankfurt and north of the Alsace, Pfalz enjoys more sun and less rain than anywhere else in Germany making it the perfect climate for great wine making. Only the healthiest and ripest grapes are harvested by hand for our Sea Change Riesling. The grapes are then left for 24 hours to macerate on the must before a particularly slow wine making process is used to ensure that the wine captures the fullest of flavours. THE TASTE Sea Change Riesling is a dry wine bursting with ripe fruit and zingy acidity. It is wonderfully complex but exquisitely balanced through the expert wine making skills of Tina Pfaffmann and her team. Sea Change Riesling represents everything that we love from this fantastic grape variety that offers so much to the white wine lover. Germany, Pfalz Riesling 12.5% 2019/20
Whilst it is easy to enjoy a glass or two of Sea Change Riesling in the garden or before a meal, it really comes into its own when matched with food. Its structure and balanced acidity make Sea Change Riesling an unbelievable match for fresh seafood, plant-based curries or even pork belly. Dishes based on creamy sauces also pair brilliantly as the dry crispness of the wine offers beautiful contrast.
