Why I Love This

DESCRIPTION

If you like ginger and a good crispy, crunchy start to the day then you’re going to like this…Troo Super Seedy with Gentle Ginger Granola; jam-packed with natural goodness – in PLASTIC FREE packaging too. Good for you and good for the world!

With over 9g of fibre (30% of your daily requirement) and only 3% sugar (c. 1g per bowl) and gluten-free too, Troo granola is the perfect gut healthy start to the day!

Super Seedy with Gentle Ginger – this is particularly good if you like that warming ginger flavour. Using beautiful gluten-free jumbo oats from Cambridge as a base gently spiced with a gingery spice blend. With 5 different seeds (Sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, chia and flaxseeds); well known for their powerful health benefits.

Chicory Root Fibre (inulin) is used to sweeten this granola, this also adds fibre. It’s not too sweet, allowing the natural flavours of the roasty, toasty oats, nuts and seeds to shine through!

The recipes are carefully developed to make them as simple as possible and made in small batches to replicate what you would be doing if your were making it for yourself at home. With no added preservatives, fillers or bulking agents – just naturally, nutritionally-dense super healthy ingredients.

Suitable for people looking for a gut-healthy option; those seeking gluten free products, vegetarians and vegans – BUT NOT IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY! This is not the one for you, sorry…

Unlike lots of other shop bought or even home made granola; Troo granola can be a great choice for some diabetics. Both the jumbo oats and the chicory root fibre have scientific support to show they help keep blood glucose levels low – but do keep an eye on portion size, especially with something as yummy as this!

    PACKAGING

Troo's plastic free pouches are made from paper with a plant-based lining which is heat sealable. It is 100% plastic free, certified by A Plastic Planet and Endorsed by the UK Recycling Association. It is also manufactured from a renewable material source, making it even more sustainable.

The packaging provides total food security - it is grease, water & moisture resistant.

Troo are more cautious with our shelf life than other food companies that use plastic packaging, which means we need to be a bit more nimble and agile with our production and logistics. For example, they bake in smaller batches and more often. But if that means you get to enjoy Troo at its freshest and tastiest AND you do your bit to reduce single-use plastic too, we think it’s worth the extra effort!

              About Eat Troo

"Troo was cooked up, literally, in Helenor and Mike’s kitchen back in 2017. Combining their passions for great tasting, healthier food that helps support good gut health, Helenor and Mike (and their two children) took Troo from being a make your own, low sugar granola kit to a range of gut health food in plastic free packaging.

We were the first food company in the UK to launch a cereal product using 100% compostable packaging. Our Granola and Porridge comes in plastic free pouches, whilst our syrups are sold in glass jars with cardboard sleeves. Being a responsible, eco-conscious company is an essential Troo value."
